Changing Of The Guards

Where have we been? You may have wondered were everyone was? Well, that would be because at the station there has been pomp and circumstance playing with soldier like marching and flags waving. I think I even saw Tom Laird cry a little. It's time for us "newbies" to take the "reigns". and for the second years to say goodbye.

This past week we've been learning the ropes of how the station works, making changes to the website, and producing new features. I think in a few weeks I might even see some pictures of mothers, friends andfavourite bands nailed onto the walls. Who knows what else we might do to make the workroom our own.

We're really exited to get to know you, and want you get to know us too.

Aloha ( hello & goodbye )

TREVOR ROCKS

TREVOR ROCKS

Welcome to your second year

Hey, I wanted to say hi to you guys taking over. I went through the radio program, dare I say 20 years ago graduating in 1988. It was a lot of fun and I'm still in touch with many of my radio pals. I actually came back about 6 years later and did a second diploma in OH&S and taught at BCIT for awhile. The grounding and most importantly learning to have fun at work was something the radio program taught me.
Have a great time in your second year (I've actually returned to school a third time and as I write this I'm doing a masters degree at Royal Roads), while working full time and teaching at the University of Alberta. Ahhhhh, the life of a manic!!!!!
Cheers, Andy Smith
