Greening your home and cleaning your shorelines

There's plenty of ways to help save the environment everyday.

If you missed planet earth yesterday, I talked to Chris Coates, an interior designer who had some ideas on how to help keep your home eco-friendly, especially being aware of off-gases.  No, not anything bout your roomate stinking up your place after too many re-fried beans, but certain household products and materials that give off bad fumes and toxins to the environment.

Todays planet earth is about helping clean our local shorelines.  All this week, the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup's happening.  Basically its about getting out to your local beach or park and cleaning up all the nasty trash so it doesn't make its way into our waterways and kill marine animals and birds.

There's still plenty of cleanup sites happening all over the city this weekend.  Check out vanaqua.com/cleanup to see locations and times near you!
