In Adam's spare time, he likes to:What don't I do in my spare time?! Haha. Honestly though, I am a BCIT student so I really don't have a lot of free time. The time I do have is usually spent with my girlfriend. We both enjoy movies and experiencing Vancouver's great restaurants. I also love sports. Adam's biggest influence is: Well since I'm in the broadcasting industry and I'm very much into sports, I would have to say Rod Black. He is probably the most accomplished sportscaster in Canada. He has broadcast almost every single sport imaginable. He has also broadcast news and been a spokesperson for many charitable organizations. If I can build up a resume anywhere near what his is, then I'll consider my career a huge success. If Adam could see any musician live, it would be: Bob Marley. He was such an inspirational human being who was constantly trying to bring happiness to the world. It would be unreal to experience one of his shows. I can't even imagine what the atmosphere would be like. Who would win in a fight, Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris? Chuck Norris because when he does a pushup, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the earth down. Also because sticks and stones may break your bones, but Chuck Norris will liquefy your kidneys. In 15 years, Adam sees himself: Hopefully living in a nice Vancouver house that's ridiculously over-priced right now. I'll be in the sports broadcasting industry in some capacity (hosting a show, reporting, announcing, producing, whatever) |
Today I interviewed a wonderfully creative band by the name of Two Apple Tobacco. We talked about everything from their name and inspirations to the interesting lyrics of one of their songs and much more.
Check out www.myspace.com/twoappletobacco to listen to their work and find out more about them. Who knows, you might just hear them on our air waves in the not to distant future!
Here's a couple of links that will make you laugh.
There's a restaurant in Japan that's hired monkeys as servers. It's pretty sweet. This isn't just a joke either. It's for real. The monkeys actually work there. It gives a whole new meaning to the term "a monkey could do your job!" http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/7654267.stm... more>
Tonight on my show I mentioned a funny article that most of you can surely relate to. It's about all those pesky so-called "old friends" who haunt you on facebook and attempt to fill you in on their lives, even though we know it's just their subtle way of trying to impress you.... more>
After almost a full week off, the Burnaby Express are back in action tonight against the Nanaimo Clippers on Evolution 107.9!
The Express haven't played since last Sundays loss against Vernon and their long lay off was badly needed. They were without two of their best offensive players in Brody Reid and John Bokla and Mike Leidl had to tough it out and play with the flu.... more>
October is here. Our federal election is drawing closer, but does anyone care? It's okay to pay attention to the politics of the worlds most powerful nation, but lets not forget that we do live in a country of our own.
It really bugs me that the Canadian masses are enthralled with the American presidential election, but consider their own federal election almost irrelevant.
Tune in as I try to talk some sense into Canadians everywhere, including the writers at TV Times!
On Monday I talked about one of the biggest differences between men and women.... Shoes!!!!! Seriously, why are women so obsessed with them? Did you know that the average North American woman between the ages of 25 and 50 owns anywhere from 40 to 60 pairs of shoes?!
To close out the month of September, the topic is sports and the impact they can have on a local community. I explain why it's important for us as a community to help out with minor league sports teams in any way we can.
Spotted something cool? Why not take a moment to tell Evolution
about it.
